This virutal Zoom In this workshop, we’ll begin with implicit bias in education, guiding participants through how bias is present and affirmed in STEM programming/curriculum/data; who is excluded and included; and how implicit bias reinforces structural inequity in education and youth programming in STEM. Participants will examine their own programming or curriculum, discuss the possible microaggressions that inhibit the process within the context of STEM learning environments, and what strategies can be utilized to create an inclusive STEM environment
Facilitated by Louise Wilmes, Charissa Jones, and Dan Prince
